Details of the Deal
In 2004, a conflict that occurred in Darfur forced villagers to become refugees in their own country. Since then, the people of Darfur has battled death each day due to various causes, including diseases and malnutrition. Since 2009, MERCY Malaysia has been stationed in North Darfur; providing medical care to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Zam Zam camp. As the influx of IDPs continues, MERCY Malaysia and partners remain on location to offer health services for these vulnerable people to prevent further deterioration of the situation.
With the objective to improve the healthcare and to reduce the morbidity and mortality rate amongst the community, a basic health centre was built to run a full range of primary health care and reproductive health services, seven hours a day, six days a week for the whole Zam Zam camp population.
This Syawal, join forces with MyDEAL and MERCY in helping the less fortunate by making pledges – a donation of RM10 or RM20. These pledges will translate to MyDEAL Credits and can be used for purchases of any online deals. Proceeds would then be donated to providing medical attention to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Zam Zam camp.
