Proceeds will be donated to treat / correct cleft lip and palate cases for the underprivileged population in Bangladesh
- The operational cost for 2 cleft lip correction missions is approximately RM 264,000 (each mission contains average of 50 patients)
- The operational cost also covers lectures / sharing sessions after the completion of surgeries to the medical staff of DCH on cleft-related information

Home to some 150 million people, approximately 300 000 of Bangladeshis were born without toothy grins and beams – they suffer from cleft lip and palate deformities. Clefts are a major problem in Bangladesh and in many developing countries, where millions of children and adults are suffering in silence. Deprived of that simple act of happiness, cleft lip and palate patients are also exposed to numerous complications – recurring ear infection, speech difficulties, feeding problems etc – but nothing can be far greater than facing the penetrating gaze of social stigma.
This Ramadhan, join forces with MyDEAL and MERCY in helping the less fortunate by making pledges -RM10 or RM20. These pledges translate to MyDEAL Credits and can be used for purchases of any online deals. Proceeds would then be donated to treat or correct cleft lip & palate cases for the underprivileged population in Bangladesh. For once in their life, give them the chance and a reason to smile about.
